Linking families in my disney experience

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help. I am setting up mydisneyexperience for a trip next year. There are 10 of us travelling, made up of 3 family groups. Is it easier to make the children's accounts all linked to one adult or if each family makes their own children's profiles will they automatically be linked when the adults link?

The reason I'm asking is that presumably we will need to link the park tickets to all of the profiles (child or adult) in order to make park reservations and the plan was for me to make the reservations for all 10 of us but I'm not sure if I will be able to do that unless I set up the kids profiles???

Can someone please give me an idiots step by step guide of how best to do this as I didn't really find the disney guidance very helpful in regard to linking multiple families. Thank you

Yes, if the parents put in their children on parent MDE, and you link with parent (and share all planning) the children will show up. We did this with the grandkids and I'm able to choose them in my MDE. I made all reservations (FP, etc) for our trip last year. Kids don't have their own MDE, only kids on their Dad's MDE. Hope this helps.
