Linked reservations at the same resort

I have linked reservations for the same room type at the same resort (a result of a wait list coming through). Will I have to check out of the room at the end of the first reservation, and check in again at the beginning of the first, or can I just check in once for the whole thing? Thanks!

We had a linked reservation on our last trip, due to a waitlist coming through as well. We did not have to change rooms. I did call MS when I noticed the waitlist change and they made sure everything looked ok so there wasn't any problems at check in.
