Link to a shopping site? OK or not?

Asking advice beforehand so I don't break rules accidentally.

I just saw an item on a website (not run by me) that I thought a lot of fellow DISers would love. The person who runs the website lives near the parks and buys items from the parks and sells them on the website. Not official Disney. I looked on the Disney Store's website and the item is not there.

I looked at the posting guidelines and I can't figure out where this falls as far as advertising or what. (I also don't know what board it would go on.)

Would posting a link like "Hey DISers! I saw this awesome thing!" be okay or not?

You are welcome to post a link to a shopping site as long as you are not affiliated with it in any way. Also as long as you aren't posting primarily to support that site--in other words not answering only questions that involve you posting that link, or posting the link on numerous boards. We start to think you have something to gain when we see that

But please do post if you have found a great site! That is one of the great things about our forums-- I have found out about so many other great sites to learn even more. On the budget board you will often find links to a great deal they have found (so I end up buying things-- how does that help me with my budget??!! )
