Link? or contact resort?

Here is my quandary....

I rented points from a member for the first night of our stay as I didn't have enough points for a 2BR (9 of us traveling)

We are staying for a total of 6 nights, the first night rented from another DVC member.

In order for us to link these 2 reservations (mine and his) we both need to be on the phone with MS at the same time. We both would need to reveal our acct number and personal information to MS at the same time to prove who we are then MS with link the reservations.

I have a problem with this as I don't know the other member and nor does he know me?....

Can I contact the resort directly just a couple days out and tell them my two reservation numbers so that we don't have to move rooms? It would be in Disney's best interest to not have us move (cleaning of rooms, etc...) And I really don't want to move!! There are 9 of us traveling, plus we will have groceries, owner lockers, etc...

Or is my only option to link these 2 reservations?

Contacting the resort will do no good. You would actually be connected to a call center. They can't update the reservations to indicate that you have a continuing stay.

You either need to link them ahead of time, or wait until you arrive and work with the front desk CM.
