Lines to buy tickets at the parks

I try never to do this but don't have a choice for our trip next month (I am upgrading a free one day pass I got to an AP for my DD with DVC discount).

I am afraid with the new "list of ticket options" the lines are going to be out of control for the confused people buying. (Hop...what I am not a bunny :smooth: ).

Any reports on guest service lines at the park would be appreciated.

TIA
Sandy

In the past the lines were never to over the top. At least I never found them to be. However, who knows w/ the new tickets and confusion I'm sure is happening.

Just came back yesterday, and I never saw lines more than 4 or 5 people deep at any of the parks.

Just an FYI - I'm not certain if you're talking about a free ticket that you got from Disney, but if you are, it will bear no credit towards upgrading. If it's a prize you got for some sort of contest or something, then you should be fine.

When the parks first open in the morning is when the lines are the longest. Within an hour they die right done. You should be just fine.

We have to go to the ticket line also to turn in a Fl resident seasonal pass voucher for the actual ticket. I believe the CM I spoke with told me to go to Guest Relations. Is Guest Relations outside the park, where you would purchase a ticket, or is Guest Relations inside the park? Wouldn't make sense if it was inside the park as you would need your ticket to get in, but for some reason I thought it was (inside the park, that is).

Guest Relations are inside and outside the parks.
Seems like one is called Guest Services and one Guest Relations.
I could be wrong. Either way since you have a voucher, you will need to have it taken care of outside a park.

Guest Relations IS both inside and outside the park. :) There's also a location OUTSIDE the turnstiles at the International Gateway. There may be one inside, but I'm pretty sure the one outside is it.

Guest Services is what you find at the resorts - and they can't process vouchers.

I always used to get them confused. :)

Thanks for clearing that up. We will go to Guest Relations outside the park to turn in the voucher. We will eat at CM and then take the monorail to Epcot to go to Guest Relations. That is our plan for our first night there. The next day we will hit the parks :cool1:

Guest Relations locations are located at the parks and Downtown Disney. Guest Services is found a the water parks and resorts. Some of the duties do overlap, but Guest Relations can handle more of the park related issues.

At the Magic Kingdom, the Guest Relations window is located to the right of the turn stiles.
At Epcot, it is also to the right of the turnstiles
At Disney MGM it is to the left.... you will see a souvenier store, and the Window is to the left of that, before you get to the kennel.
At Animal Kingdom, it is to the left of turnstiles.
There are 2 locations at Downtown Disney... one in the Marketplace next to Once Upon A Toy, as you are entering Downtown Disney from parking lot A, and the 2nd location is a round building to the right of Wetzel's Pretzels if you are facing the water.

Vouchers can be redeemed at any of those locations or a Will Call window, which will be located with the Vacation Planning booths (ticket sellers).
