I just booked an ADR for Boma later this month during prime dinner time (6:55pm). Problem is, I've just read several reviews about the horrible lines to get plates and for the meat station. 40 people deep, really?! I don't want to stand in line the whole time. Should I be worried and cancel?

I wouldn't. The problem is for the meat section, they are carving the stuff and so that takes time. And because the meats are at one far end of the buffet, a lot of people think they HAVE to stand there and wait for everyone else to finish before they move on. Boma is set up in pods so if you want salad, you just go right up to the salad area and get that. Same with desserts, etc. It's just the meat line. Don't worry about it.

Thanks! But what if we'll be frequenting the meat area a lot? That will probably be DH's favorite section, but he won't be all about waiting in a long line each time.

I have been to Boma several times when the restaurant is packed. I have never seen lines more than 4 or so deep. I can't imagine lines like that at a buffet. Maybe I have just been lucky, but, maybe 40 is a gross exaggeration.

Both times I was there were very busy nights, and the meat line wasn't a problem. On our last trip, I looked over and saw maybe 15 people in the meat line, then 5 min later there was no one, so I headed over. If it's a long line, eat some hummus and wait a few. I wouldn't cancel because of that.

I agree with pp. Just go to another area and the meat line thins out. It didn't happen last time we were there.

We ate at Boma in Oct, I had a 4:35 ressie, when we arrived no lines, got up got the beef and sat down...15 minutes later the line was 20 people deep for the beef line...it was nuts

You have absolutely nothing to be concerned about. I have visited Boma during peak seasons for vacationing and peak meal times. Go and enjoy yourself.

We went for breakfast last Oct. and the lines were nil.... we had a 7:30am adr. Breakfast at Boma is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! My son and I loved it! We're going back this coming Oct. for sure!

we went last September, and all the pods had those kind of lines...the waiters kept telling people "there's no lines, just go to the area you want & help yourself" HA! The shortest line had more than 20 people in it...we waited at least 10 minutes at each pod to get our food...actually didn't even get to some areas because we gave up after awhile. Anyone who tried to approach a pod and "help themself" was told by 1/2 dozen people in the line where the end of the line was.

It was horrible - a total mob scene. And we didn't like the food either.

But lots of people do.;)

We were at Boma last week, the lines at the meat station at around 6ish were approx. 5 - 10 people. It was one of our favorite meals, the whole family ate well and enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

Boma is our favorite and we have been there several times. It has always been packed and I have never stood in a line with more that 4 people in it at any of the stations.

I have been numerous times, breakfast and dinner, and never waited more than a couple of minutes and it has always been busy. Go, and don't worry!
