Line/locker etiquette question

Are you able to send one member of your family to the lockers and get in Hagrid's motorbike line--and then have that family member join you?

When we went at Early Park Entry in October, the queue started way before the lockers. The locker person can't really walk ahead and there's no good area for the non-locker people to wait. There wasn't a lot of choice but to split up and the non-locker person just walked ahead in line (which was constantly moving).

The locker person would then catch up to the non-locker person in line.

No one seemed put out by you passing them as pretty much everyone was doing the same thing. I hated doing it that way, but there just wasn't a better way to do it.

We are going to try to go without backpacks, but our daughter is Type 1 and has some diabetes supplies she need to have at the parks with her.

You will be tangled in the locker cluster regardless for Hagrids. If you have a bag, they send the whole party into the locker area. There really isn't a benefit to sending someone ahead. I think it would be hard to rejoin your party since the TMs manage merging the lines entering the actual official queue at that point.

If your supplies need to stand up, get a disability pass. There are medical, larger sized lockers, for those that have the risk that they need that medicine right after getting off ride. You let the front TM know you need the lockers inside the ride, when you show your disability pass, and the TM will help you with getting on the ride, after using those lockers. The TM helps you with both closing and opening that locker. Enjoy. We had a diabetic that had the need to have medicine at the ready, but it needed to be standing up, and the free lockers were not tall enough to keep the medicine upright. And well, that quick ability to get to that medicine was important. Thankfully, did not have a need for the locker medicine, and we had a great time.

Thank you so much for this info. She just has an insulin pen and tablets in case she goes low, but I don't think anything needs to stay upright.

You can take hip pack around your waist with 3-prong buckle on Hagrid and Mummy, but have to use locker at Hulk and RRR.
