I watched her interview on Leno last night and I thought she was very sincere. As a matter of fact, I was shocked when she completely took responsibilty for her actions and made no effort to make excuses. Whoever is advising her at this moment is leading her in the right direction IMO. Anyone else watch? How did you feel about the interview?

Never watch those shows anymore. But as for going in the right direction, you gotta remember she has whole team of PR people to prep her for stuff and Leno aint exactly hard hitting tv.

She still has a trial to go through and and I'll withold judgement until the jury returns a verdict. Either way she has a LOT of growing up to do.

I thought that, as an actress, she's used to saying what she needs to say, and do so convincingly. I'm not calling her a liar, just saying if she wants me to believe, she needs to show me.

I'll believe it when I see it, but she did seem sincere.

I heard she got a standing ovation, which unnerves me. I one hand, she could use the encouragement after at least saying the right words. On the other hand, I wish all the people who never tried drugs or never broke the law could all get standing ovations.

I found that standing ovation curious since it preceded the seemingly sincere interview. Was it a show of emotional support for a troubled young woman? I can imagine that -- unless you're a sadist -- you want her to get better and get back to work, especially since we can all remember that charming 12 year old.

I think she doesn't stand a chance to get clean and back on track until she cuts both her mother and father out of her life. Her father is scum and her mother is and has always in denial and an enabler.

Exactly. We've heard this same song and dance from her before. And I'm sure we will again.

I agree with you on this. I am sure her reps told her it would be a good idea to be humble and accepting of the consequences. It looked like Jay was told which questions to ask and she knew they were coming.

However, I hope she is sincere. I think she has potential to be great. I think the standing ovation was for support of a person admitting great failures. I would like to see her succeed.

This is how I feel. She is getting another chance, has a major role in a movie coming up - show us.

I think she finally had her come to Jesus moment, especially with jail time looming over he head.

Note: not a religious post. Just an expression.

I've always loved Lindsay Lohan, she reminds me of my eldest daughter. I feel very sad for her that she's let her life get so messed up, I'm always rooting for her.
