So, Mr. Lincoln is gone right? The DL dvd I watched this morning mentions a 50 Years exhibit with video of old Disneyland, etc. in there. Has anyone gone to this and is it worth a look? I LOVE the old footage and reading/seeing things about the way things used to be. How long would our 5yo last in there? :rotfl:

Word is that Honest Abe will be back after the 50th celebration is over. We saw the "50 Years" show last month. It is narrated by Steve Martin, a former DL employee before he hit it big, and we thought it was really good. If you are into this kind of thing, I highly recommend it. The show is about 20 minutes long, and I believe they show it 3 times an hour all day long.

I think your 5 year old will be fine with the show, and might enjoy it. Disney worked some Donald Duck animation into the Steve Martin narration (Steve and Donald talk to each other a lot), and it is well done, funny, and interesting probably even for a 5 year old.

Disney has said Lincoln will come back after the 50th Aniversary show is gone (They had a sign out front of the theater and I have a picture to prove it)

They also said Rocket Rods were only being refurbished and would be back in the "Spring." And we all know what happened there... ;)

I loved the "50 Years" show. I am sure your child will be fine, since it is entertaining and not very long.

Great overview HydroGuy - couldn't have said it better myself :flower:
All of the old displays are cool to look at before the show. It seemed like 10 minutes was about enough time to check things out. It is also nice to enjoy the A/C for a half hour if it is a hot day.

If you like the history of DL then the pre-show area is a must see! Lots of pics and models....great stuff!

We loved this movie!!! It was fascinating to see "behind the scenes." I was worried about my 3 year old twins, but there was enough Donald Duck to make it fun for them. They also loved seeing glimpses of the rides they love so much. I'd say do it! I'm hoping Disney decides to put it on a DVD and sell it. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, and several other copies for gifts. It's a Disney lovers kind of thing. :earseek:
