What is the % for tip that is customary and when should the tip be given. I know that you pay for the round trip when you arrive at your destination so should I divide the tip then and then wait for the return trip for the other half in case there are two different drivers.

We are using Tiffany Towncar.

Tip should be 20% of the r/t price. Half should be given to each driver. If you ahve a lot of large or heavy bags, it's nice to add a couple of extra $$. Also if they make a grocery stop for you, most add an extra $5 to the tip.

Tip the driver according to the service you get. If he is bad don't tip him a dime. Enough of you guys quit giving money to the so called bad drivers, maybe we can get rid of them and have excellent drivers providing you with excellent service. Let me remind you. Tips or gratuity is given for service rendered, not because you have to.

In all the times I've used a car/limo service, I've only once had a bad driver. That was with Florida Towncar Company, who I'm not sure is even in business any longer.

For the past four years I've exclusively used Jim Kropp from Golden Limo who is now with Lorden Transportation--Dennis with Lorden is wonderful as well. I've never had a reason to give him less than 20%.

I always had good drivers with Tiffany Towncar, and it was only the snarly office chick that made me stop using them. I also formerly used Yoour Ride back when Rabbit owned them, and stopped using them after he sold the company because the new owners drove it into the ground.

I would much rather book a car service or limo company based on recommendations from people on these boards who do'nt have a vested interest in the company, which is one of the reasons I take Edd's posts with a grain of salt--although I do agree, if you get a bad driver, adjust the tip accordingly.

Well, you don't say much when you mention "Your Ride." I also knew Rabbit. It is hard for me to say anything good about him. Maybe that is why he doesn't own or is no longer with "Your Ride" any longer, whichever fits.

I used him to book a limo which he subbed to Golden. After that I never had the opportunity to use him again until after he had sold the company, but have used Jim several times since.

Rabbit had many happy customers on these boards--and got a lot of good feedback. I have yet to see someone who has used your services and offered the same.

Basically I am retired and don't work all that hard. I would rather help with some factual answers or help the many guests to the Port and Orlando area. I do have a huge amount of guests which I take care of.

Then why don't you start with factual information, instead of information that is years out of date?

If you ahve so many guests, it would seem that one, just one of them would have posted on here that they were happy with your service.

There are been several posts on Disboards and Cruise Critic in the past, but I haven't kept track of them. Actually I have only seen one out of the many I am advised about. It was a good comment. I will definitely point one out to you if I spot one in the future.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm nothing if not fair and honest ...

Several weeks ago, on a different DIS forum (i.e., not Transportation), there was a question about airport transportation and a woman recommended Edd by first and last name.
