From John Wayne to DLH in Oct. there are 5 of us. Thought it might be fun and/or cheaper.

Anyone have any recent experience with limo services in the area?

Do tell.:goodvibes

I agree. I have about a group of 8. Does anyone know if it would be cheaper ?

Thanks for posting this question as I'm also needing this information.
We have a party of 6 for our late Feb trip.

I'll be watching this trip.princess:

I did this for our family of 5 in March. However, I don't recommend Starz Limo. It was fun, but there were drawbacks and it ended up costing quite a bit more than was quoted me.

Internet quote was $85. When I called, she said, "Oh, no, it's $90." Ok, fine. Plus they add a $20 tip. However when I asked the driver, she said, "We're given 5% for us, and the rest is up to your discretion. " :confused3

The total was $114 and then I added a tip on top of that, because the driver was very nice. This is each way.

The car itself is nice but it was not as nice as the one they told us we'd be getting, the picture shown on the website. I asked for champagne which they provided as part of the service; it was Andre or something equally cheap. Well, no big deal, I wasn't expecting Dom Perignon. There was water and soda for the kids, just coke and diet coke. There was a decanter of bourbon and one of gin. We each had just a little taste of the bourbon; (pretty rotgut:laughing: ) There was only a very little ice in the wells with the water and soda, we had to dig in it to get ice for drinks and it didn't seem very sanitary. There were 2 seats facing each other in the back; the seats that my DH and I sat on with our backs to the driver had NO seatbelts.

On the return trip to the airport, I got a call about a half hour before, and the driver (different one) told me he was lost and his GPS was broken, and he gave me his location and asked for directions to the GCH. :sad2: First of all, I could barely understand him because his cell phone kept cutting out and also he had a pretty thick accent; secondly, I explained to him that I'm not from the area and had no idea of directions. Then I called the office, kinda panicky, and the lady there reassured me that they'd just heard from him and would get him there on time, and apologized. The driver was very apologetic when he arrived, thankfully on time. This time there was no champagne (I hadn't specifically requested it for the RETURN trip) and even less ice; and I saw a twist tie or some other paper debris in the ice well with the ice. Yuck.

That said, if I could find a reputable limo service I'd do it again for the same approximate cost. It was so fun. It was a surprise to my DH and kids, and they just about dropped their jaws on the sidewalk when that limo pulled up in front of us, and I said casually, "Here's our ride." The kids felt like rock stars, and it was a very relaxing and celebratory way to get to GCH for our very first ever trip to DL! I would call DLH and ask them for Limo recommendations. I know they keep a list.

Hope that helps! :)
