Is it cheaper or the same to rent a limo from the airport to the port, or a shuttle or rental car? I have a family of 5.

Can anyone refer some places or websites of low rates round trip.

Thanks!

Rental car will be the least expensive if you turn it in at the port.

IMHO car service is the least hassle, although many will tell you they feel DCL is. I just like the idea of being able to leave when I'm ready.

We have found that Limo service is much more convienent. We have tried the DCL shuttle and the Royal Caribbean shuttle and have found them to be an adequate way to get to the port but the Limo service is fantastic. We were picked up at our Hotel in Orlando, at the time we preferred, no need to go back to the airport to catch the shuttle on their schedule, the ride was comfortable and fast. However the best part was when we returned from the cruise. We picked up our luggage and walked out of the building and there was our driver with our name on a pink sign, no waiting for a bus, very VIP service. As far as cost goes, we have found it to be about the same cost as the bus if we had four people, with more it may be even less than the $40 per person Disney wants. I will even recommend the service we used, as the service was excellent. Yourride.net

Our first cruise we used the DCL shuttle. It was great because they keep track of all your luggage from airport.. and it magically shows up in your room.. that was very nice. The buses are quite comfy, and it was fun to be together with a group of only Disney cruisers.
That said, this time we are trying a Limo from Yourride. We have a party of 8 this year, and also are coming in the night before. The limo will make a short grocery stop, so we can pick up pop. I am also using the limo as a treat for all the family that is going on our trip. It is to be surprise, so when we go to pickup luggage, they will be there holding the sign with our names.
So... I'm not too helpful I guess.. I think it all works as long as you get to the ship! :D
Good luck!!!

Even though the drive to the port looks pretty simple, we always use Happy Limo instead of a rental car. We used to use the Disney buses, but although the video is enjoyable and the process is pretty smooth, we prefer being able to get to the port early (and on the bus we've ended up with kicking kids behind us..ugh! We should have been warned when the parents plopped the kids down in the seats behind us and then sat in a different part of the bus. ). Also, since 9/11, we have been flying in the night before, so the buses wouldn't really work anymore. We have gotten really spoiled with the convenience of a towncar.

We have done DCL transfers, and towncar service...the towncar service is much quicker, more convenient, and relaxing. Best rates AND service I've found so far is Tiffany Towncar. The drivers are excellant, and you can schedule when YOU wish to arrive at the port. I can't stand the thought of getting to Port Canaveral by bus anymore, Tiffany has spoiled me! Plus, the Towncar service gets you there in time to make those all important Spa & Palo ressies...we all know those all go before the buses arrive! My choice...get a jump on your vacation, and treat yourself to the Tiffany experience...also generally less for families than transfers.
