limits on free dining?

I have read a few post the say $40 is the limit for the day per person. Some resturants for TS if you get appetizer, entree, and dessert is could eaily put you over $40 for a TS meal..WOuld you then pay the remainder? WHat's the deal with that?

There is no price limit to what you can order - other wise what would be the point of the DDP.

For TS you can order an app. entree and dessert and drink and for most places that is going to run more than $40 just for that. You still get your CS and snack for the day.

That's why depending on how you eat the DDP can be a real money saver. $60 - $70 worth of food per day for the DDP price of $38.99 or free if your going during free dining.

Did you just misunderstand about the $38.99 pp cost per day? The reason most of us LOVE DDP is due to the fact that we CAN get "spend" far more on it...we can choose items because we WANT them not because they are budgtary...

I agree...if that were so, may as well just try to pinch pennies.

Indeed, no such limit. There are limitations (they're listed on the Dining Plan FAQ) but not dollar-amount limits.

Isn't there some sort of $40 voucher thing you can buy for DisneyLAND? Maybe that is what you saw?

I may have seen something and just misunderstood..but I got it now.. This is my first time dinsey, definitely first time free anything Maybe I'm just waiting for the big BUT that usually follows what is such a deal. But in any case I'm just going to have a GREAT time and enjoy my free dining. We will be there sept. 21-29 and I can't wait. I have learned so much from this board that I would have never known, and the replys are very helpful. Thanks for the input..

You will love it. Our Sept trip is our favorite. we own DVC, so we pay for the DDP, and probably don't get as much of a deal as other people, but it works for us.

It is a lot of food! You will be well fed, believe me.

Have a great trip...but be careful, you may get addicted like the rest of us!!

Not that it is a BAD thing.

And don't forget that TS includes appetizers, main course and dessert!!
