We are interested into purchasing DVC in the near future but are still researching.
Is there a minium # of points to purchase? Do all resorts have accesssible rooms available? We have a disabled DD so we would be interested in OKW or Boardwalk.
Who should be buy through...Disney or resale agent? What price are we looking at?

Purchases directly thru DVC had a 150 point minimum.

If you're interested in OKW or BWV you will, most likely, need to consider purchasing a resale, since both resorts (also VWL, BCV and HH) are sold out. All DVC resorts have handicap accessible villas.

With a resale purchase there is no minimum purchase and you may be able to find a contract for as few as 25 points (that's the absolute minimum contract ever sold).

Purchases available thru DVC are sold at $84 per point for all but SSR ($89), but incentives are available for $5 per point at SSR and Magical Beginnings ($10 per point) at the other resorts.

Resales can often be found in the $66-72 range for all resorts (sometimes even less).

If you have any other questions, please ask.

Good luck!

Minimum number of point through Disney is 150. No minimum through resale agents...it just depends on what contracts they have available.

For OKW or BWV, you'll probably have to go through a resale agent...unless Disney happens to have some points available through a "Right of First Refusal" sale.

As far as what resort is best for you, if you'll be driving your own car, or have a rental, OKW has the largest rooms and the accessible rooms are really nice. It is a very relaxed atmosphere.
OKW also has two "real" queen size beds in a studio, other DVC resorts have 1 bed and a pull out couch for studios.

If you won't have a car, or want to be in a more "exciting" resort with lots of action, then BWV would be good.
