Limited Time/ VIP Tour?

We will be at Disney for a day, coming from a cruise for 5 hour/ one day Feb 3. It literally gives you 5 hours. We are choosing the Magic Kingdom. We went to DW a long time ago and in Feb and the lines weren't too bad however we had all day there and several days to make up anything we missed. I keep seeing people split the VIP tour with families but we do not know anyone. Any advice? I'm wondering if the 5 hours will be a waste of time but I really want to go- it's my birthday!

It is very expensive, but if you have the money, go for it. Minimum charge is for 6 hours, $315 ($340 if staying offsite) per hour, plus park admission. $40 per hour higher during holiday periods.

Yeah, it's a lot. I'd be paying $340 for 6 hours and staying 5 and you know we'll be rushed. I guess FastPass seems like a good option....

wow! That is a jaw dropper! Close to $2000 for 6 hours (basically, 1/2 a day!)

If you have limited time, it's a great option for you. I think now that FP+ is limited to 3 rides, a VIP tour looks better than it used to, as you get unlimited FP, you don't have to wait around for the time (ie, you can't have two fast passes for the same time slot), and you get around the park A LOT easier. Technically, your family can pick their favorite rides (no matter the park) and can hop right on the FP line. On top of the tour fee, you do need to buy your tickets separately.

$2000 for less than half a day though- holy canoli! Is there a spot on these boards where people would like to meet up and split the cost? It takes up to 10 people, we are a family of 4.
