Limited time magic!

Hi everyone this may be a stupid question but what exactly is limited time magic? I have been seeing a lot of it and not quite sure exactly what it is. I am going down in 20 days and will it still be going on? Oh and I saw a video on allears for limited time magic and how the castle changes to phineas and ferb, lilo and stich, and something else! How cool is that?!
