This year Disney stores came out with a limited edition Rapunzel dress and I want it so bad for my DD who's going to BBB next month but she only needs a 2-3 and they made them starting in a size 4, I'm so upset about this. I've been waiting for the limited dress to come out this year and now it's too big for her....:confused3!

Do you sew? Maybe you can take it in. If not a seamstress could easily alter it to fit.

I was disappointed, too! DD wears a 3 and when we tried the 4 on her, it was way too big. She really didn't care, though - she has the regular costume and loves it just as much. However, she was SO SAD they didn't make the limited edition shoes in her size!

That LE dress really is gorgeous!

Seamstresses are magicians, I bet you can find someone to size it down for you at a reasonable rate.

I was disappointed that it was $150!!!! ;) We saw it at the store. It is a really beautiful dress, and the fabric is great- not scratchy at all. As far as the regular costumes, DD (5) has had a ton of costumes from the Disney Store since she was 1 year old, and it seems like the materials on this year's versions are a lesser quality. She thought everything was way too scratchy and didn't want any of them. She would like the Rapunzel dress, but since she doesn't play dress up all the time like she used to, I'm leery about paying that kind of money on something that she might just wear once on Halloween.

I've posted this somewhere on a thread before, but if you are looking for quality dress up clothes check out http://www.littledressupshop.com/. Their dresses are similar to the Disney dresses and they hold up to a lot of wear and they wash really well. No velcro, buttons or fasteners. We have the Deluxe Cinderella and Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid and Snow White. All but the Mermaid have been worn to WDW or DLR. They have a Rapunzel-Tangled Style but I'm afraid DD7 thinks she's outgrown playing princess. I'll have to wait until DD1 is a bit bigger for that one! They come in 2T on up.

It sounds like the OP has purchased Disney clothes before. But if not - in my experience it runs much smaller than most of what we buy. So if your daughter wears 3T (or even 2-3), a Disney 4 might fit her just fine.

I bought the size 4 for my 2 year old and it fits her...yes, its a little long but she's good about being careful and picking up her dress like a princess when she walks up the stairs.

I haven't seen the LE Rapunzel dress yet, but my dd had the LE Sleeping Beauty dress a few years ago, and I felt it ran a bit on the small side. It zipped instead of just having the stretchy material at the back which gave a better fit. Our only problem was length but if you could figure out a way to take it up it could work? It is such a pretty dress and I love the LE dresses!

I considered buying the 4 for her but we live 4 hours away from the closest disney store and now they are sold out online so how am I supposed to get one.... Oh dilemmas dilemmas...

For $150, I'd get a custom dress! Then you have something made from breathable, wearable fabrics, and you won't be dropping glitter everywhere you go.

No, the dress was only sold in Disney stores and online. They only made 2,000 total! I think they sold out in less than a week. I spent a good 3 hours calling stores all over the country until I finally found one in the size I needed and had it sent to our house. They also had a crown and shoes. The crown is nice and metal, I think they sold out within a day! Now they are all over ebay of course. Well over $200.

The crown was lovely but they covered in tacky little fake pearls that made it look like popcorn. We took ours apart and made it look like the real thing. At least it was affordable at $20....their dress prices...ack, lol :thumbsup2
