Limited Availability November dates

Hi All,

I'm not sure where to post this question, but since it is in regards to WDW resort hotels I'm guessing this forum should work

So, we are planning our first trip to Universal/IOA for mid November and I am trying to tack a few days at WDW onto the beginning of our visit. Specifically Nov 9-13th. Even though the crowd predictors (yea, I know, I know, no accuracy guarantees) show those dates as pretty low crowds there seem to be next to nothing for availability at the WDW resort hotels for my family of five. Any one have any advice? Ideas why this might be the case?

It is a holiday week (Veteran's Day) and apparently Jersey Week, also last weekend for Food & Wine festival. Very busy weekend.

Try third party sites such as Orbitz. Try Swan or Dolphin.

Those dates have been booked solid since late June. I am terrified what that will translate to in the parks....

It's their online booking system messing with you. Try 11/9 - 11/16, instead. I just did, and availability magically popped up at almost every resort.

Yes Jersey week ends that weekend. All the public schools are closed Thursday & Friday for the Teacher convention. A lot of people take their children out of school earlier in the week to go to WDW especially those in the younger grades.

Thanks all! I was aware of Veteran's Day (my son's birthday) and Jersey week but I didn't account for the races...It still seems crazy to be so booked at the on-site hotels, though. Even Travelocity didn't have anything! We've traveled at busy times in the past and never have had an issue. Guess we'll just stick to Harry Potter for this visit (which I'm guessing will be busy too)
