Lime green ribbons

I am fairly new to the Dis boards, and I have been reading a lot about the lime green ribbons, etc. Is there a special place to get the lime green ribbons, or can you use any ribbon that color? I think it would be really nice to meet other people form the Dis board at Disney. We will be there April 19-28. It will be me, my daughter, granddaughter, 5yrs, grandson, 2yrs and granddaughter 4mos. Thanks for the info!! These boards are fantastic!!

You can use any lime green ribbon you can find. I bought some at a card store, and some at Target.

Some people get lime green paint chips from Home Depot, and wear those on their clothes.

Hopefully you'll find someone with lime green ribbon, or someone will spot yours. I've only randomly spotted lime green once in my past two trips.

Any kind of lime green ribbon will do. I couldn't find any lime green ribbon, but I found lime green yarn so I used that instead. I tied it to all the zippers on my fanny pack. I didn't meet any DISer's on that trip, but I'll try again in June, and hopefully I'll meet some DISer's!

There's a thread on the Theme Parks board about lime green and I'm going to get the Home Depot Mickey, put my sn on it, laminate it, poke a hole through the top, put lime green ribbon or yarn through that and tie it on my purse or backpack. Say Hi if you see me and I'll do the same!!!

I'll be there at the same time as a lot of you and will def. have lime green on and will be looking for lime green. I just hope I don't walk up to some stranger who happens to be wearing a lime green shirt and start talking DIS with them!

I think most of New England is going that week! We'll be there next weekend. In 5 trips so far this year, I have yet to spot any lime green, but I'm usually distracted by DS and DD. I'm going to try to get some of the lime green Mickeys from Home Depot, so look for me!

we have lime green ribbons on our luggage at the airport and we have ribbons on our backpacks or fannie packs in the parks.... stop us if you see us......its a 40 something mom with 20+ yr old kids.... we would luv you to join in our FUN!

My friend Andy (Verandah Man, from the cruise board) made this button for me. He scanned the Mickey from Home Depot, then added the text and printed it out.

Pardon my ignorance... I'm a newbie. What's the deal with green ribbons? I've read thru this thread and can't find any explanation of what the green ribbons are for.

My DD4 and I are taking our first trip to WDW next month. I'd like to participate in any DIS related stuff....

By the way, this site and these forums are awesome for first time trippers.
