Are these to identify members of the forum? I saw a couple of posts, never got a chance to read them, and now I can't find them!

Oh yes,
I think I do remember that being the case. To I.D. members of the forum you were to wear lime green ribbons at the park. Don't know if anyone did, I didn't notice it in the spring when I went. I'll put that on the shopping list for the summer trip now.

So I guess the next question (for us newbies) is:

Where do we get them?

You can get ribbon at a craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michael's crafts. Just bend it into a bow of some sort and pin it to your lapel. Home Depot has a line of Disney paint and the little color chips (the free ones you can take home) are in the shape of Mickey heads. They come in lime green. I got a few of these and am going to try to turn one into a button to wear.

I made a button out of one of the Lime Green Mickey heads from Home Depot and it has my username on it. Going to wear it the whole time down there, even in resorts as other members may be staying in the same resort as I am. Last summer I met one other DIS member while wearing the ribbon. It was fun.

I think the Home Depot Mickey head button idea is good...however I can see it falling apart after a few water rides. Maybe you can laminate it? ;)

I laminated my lime green mickey heads. I will attach them to my stroller with a lime green ribbon! Hoping to see some other Diser's in October!

I love the idea of putting your user name on the Mickey head.

Our school has a laminator I know they'll let me use, but I am not sure about a button-puncher. Can you get these at craft stores? I wore a ribbon in March but saw no other DIS'ers and my husband mocked me!

That is exactly what I did. I made a clear label with my username and placed it on the Mickey head, then laminated it. Then I used my circle cutter and cut it into a circle and applied a self stick pin back on it.

Ratpack, great idea!
Colleen, I bet my DH would make fun of me the entire time if I did it too. :(

I can see the guy at Home Depot now scratching his head. "Why do we keep running out of the Lime Green Disney samples?"

Hucifer- Just get him a Goofy hat to wear. ;)

I must have a few other Dis'ers in the area, when I went to Home Depot they were out of the lime green Mickey heads!

Laurabelle, LOL!!! You know, he probably would wear it too, knowing him. He is SUCH a nut.

LoL, benebire! Everyone is cracking me up on this thread today! :p

I have another idea for the HD Mickey heads. I bought a piece of green foam sheet or fun foam and traced the Mickey head and cut it out. I'm going to punch a hole in it and put a ribbon through.

Cool! I didn't think to make the paint sample into a button, let alone add my DIS name to it. Great idea.

I toured around in Early May with a Lime Green ribbon attached to my bag and didn't see anyone.

We had ribbons and the Mickey heads from Home Depot. on the stroller May the 4th through the 13th. But.... We did not see any others in our travels. My family made fun of me as well, my 16 year old daughter was mortified, she kept saying Ma would you just get a life and take it off. No one else has them.:p
