Yes, it does really happen!!! We just got back tonight and I am thrilled to tell you that I had two, yes two, LGM sightings!!! The first was on our first day in the parks - Wednesday. I was waiting for our party to come out of space mountain when ColoradoMom walked by. I shouted, "Hey, are you a DIS board member?" She was so excited to meet another DISer. We hugged, took a picture, she introduced me to her family and they were off to the ride. I was sooooooo excited to meet a board member.

Then on Sat. we were in CA on the pier when a LGM walked past where I was sitting. I shouted, "Hey, Lime Green Mickey!!!" MouseMom (I hope I have that right) from Seattle stopped dead in her tracks and came over with her family. We talked and took a picture together. That was their last day and they were just finishing up a few rides.

I had 2 LGM sightings and I couldn't be happier!!!:thumbsup2

A trip report will follow when time permits. It was very hot, but we didn't let that stop all of our fun.

How fun ! You're so lucky that you got to meet a member.. not just ONE, but TWO ! I'm sad that my cousin & I never saw anyone :(

Awesome! :thumbsup2

I think that's the first time I've heard of DISers meeting via LGMHPCs. I've met fellow DISers, but it's been because we made plans to meet. What fun!

i actually met Mom of Three a couple weeks ago while standing in line for the carousel in DL. coincidentally, we are both from WA state! she came up to me and said that her daughter noticed the LGMH hanging on my hip/fanny pack. it was exciting meeting another DIS'er!

Acutally Husker, we saw you and your family going into the Visa Meet and Greet one day. Didn't want to interrupt you; since, you were acutally in the door. We also saw TinkandPooh and Lynking. It does happen!!! I think that the more LGMHs dangling makes it easier to see. It was great to see the DISers there!!! When TinkandPooh ran into us, she told us that she had posted that she would have a prize for the first DISer she saw (I must have missed that post!!!). We were the first ones, and the prize was a pin and lanyard. Thanks TinkandPooh!!!

So cool!!!! I met one other DISer on my trip...Tinkermell! I was really excited when I saw that little LGMH so I asked her if she was a DISer. Turned out she was meeting other DISers for a girls' mini-meet or something like that. They'd had dinner the night before.

I also made plans to meet another DISer from my hometown, disneylvr2. We had a great time hanging out one morning and she was nice enough to even out our family rideshares! My 8-year-old claimed her and thought she was the coolest!

Here is a picture of us in a teacup! I'm on the left with my 8-year-old and she has my 5-year-old twins on either side of her:

Ohhhh, I am so jealous! When I was there the 12th-16th, there were 6, count 'em, 6 DISers staying just at the HoJo alone on Tuesday! AND I NEVER SAW ONE LGMMH!

I had 3 LGMMHs hanging off my Baggallini, 2 in the back, one in the front, but I never saw any others, although we kept our eyes peeled.

And CanyonGirl, you saw LynKing!! How cool! She is my former next-door-neighbor and dear friend. Her two daughters babysat for my kids for years until DD13 got old enough to babysit herself. She just discovered these boards a month or so ago, and saw my posting, and realized it was me, and called me up to tell me about their trip! She left two days after we got back. So I went over there and gave her oldest daughter my Bagg to use, plus some park maps and fun stuff like that. I'm waiting to hear from her; I think they came back Saturday.

Yay for spontaneous DIS meets!

I didn't meet her and there were no LGMHs involved, but I'm in the pictures of famograham when her family was meeting Captain Jack 2 or so groups before my son met him. It was so crazy when she let me know by PM! :goodvibes

I met some former Dis'ers b/c of the LGMH. They saw my bag and stopped to talk. They hadn't been on in awhile but recognized the symbol.

I've never seen any LGMH's while at the parks, but can imagine how fun it must have been for you. I've got to keep my eyes peeled. lol

MaryJo! I have them on my baggallini. How could you not notice when we all saw the Indy show?

OK OK, my purse is pink, not lime green, so your eyes were not drawn to it. I understand. :goodvibes

LOL!

I was looking at YOU, not at your bag. :rotfl:

I tell you, I really need to pay more attention!

Your sooooo welcome!!!:goodvibes It was so awesome that we ran into you and I was so excited to see other DIS board members there!!
We saw Canyon girl and her family about 15 minutes after arriving at the GCH. I had gone in to use the restroom and when I came out my DH told me that he had seen a bunch of the LGMH....I was like where? where? Anyhow that is when we ran into Canyon Girl and her family!!!

I will be posting the rest of our story on the TR Boards including running into the Dream team not once but twice!!!!
I have tonssssssssssssssssssss of PICs that I will post over there as well!!! I promise to get to it sometime this week, but I need some time to do it and I have some catching up to do first on my school work!!! UGGG

That is a cool idea - bringing a prize and giving it to the first LGMH that you see! I may need to do that for our trip in March - especially since it seems like there are a few people from the boards that are going at that time.

:)

I was positive I would see at least one LGMH during my early October trip - with the help of my sharp-eyed friend, who notices everything - and we never saw a single one in the course of 4 days at DLR and 20 of those days in the park(s). I had mine hanging kind of low on my Baggallini, so it is possible that people could miss it.

However, little did I know at the time that if I wanted to find another DISer, all I had to do was knock on the door across the hallway in our hotel!!! I knew fellow DISer Cseca was staying at PPH at the same time I was, but we hadn't touched base before our trips to arrange to meet up. Who could have guessed that I would be in room 513 and Cseca would be in room 514??!!! We probably passed each other in the hallway of the hotel, or in the lobby, on the grounds or at the TOTP somewhere - and never knew who the other one was!!!

That's too cool!! I've never run into anyone with a LGMH, but I do have one I wear on my lanyard. :) I did meet up with a member but we arranged it beforehand because we were both going to be there. She's making a trip herself very soon!! I'm hoping that I can meet up with her next year when we renew our AP's. :) Sarah.....that's YOU!! :)

We were entering Soarin', and I spotted your LGMH up ahead of us in line! Funny, you're the first DISer I've ever spotted at DL or WDW. I got spotted only once at WDW during a 6-day trip. I'm surprised I haven't seen more DISers out there.

Anyway, I was trying to remember your screen name, and when I saw Husker Mickey, I remebered that's the one I saw! Hope you had a good time. :)

Molly :) I know!
I curse myself when I think of how we could have met...but missed the opportunity!

Linda

I am fairly new to this. What's the deal with the "Lime Green Mickey"? Is this a hat the DIS'ers wear? What does it look like? Anyone have a picture to post?
