Lilo & Stitch Birthday Party??????

Once again, my 4yo DD (Savannah) has asked for a bday party for which I can find no invitations or decorations. She absolutely wants a Lilo & Stitch party. I can't find anything with these characters. HELP!!!!!! My MIL has suggested doing something like a luau with a Lilo & Stitch cake. Get leis for the kids and maybe suggest they arrive in some type Hawaiian wear. Do you think I can get away with this? Does anyone know where I can find something else to make this work!!!!!!! This child thinks nothing is impossible. If she can think it, then I can do it! I wish I had that much confidence! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know someone here on the DIS is creative!!!!!!

This chain store has locations in Alabama. Is there one close to you?

My son wanted a Lilo & Stitch theme, and we were able to get a lot of stuff at this store--invitations, treat bags, cake plates, etc.

We handed out leis, too. They were inexpensive here.

You are a lifesaver JerseyJanice! The closest store to us is about 45 miles away. But, to give your baby girl what she wants, that is not too far to drive. My MIL has been after me to take her shopping in Birmingham anyway, so now I have two good excuses to go. Thank you again so very much!!!!!!

DID IT IN JULY!!!!!!!

For my dd (8). She had 8 girls come and we did it at the local movie theater. They have a party room. I got a couple lilo and stitch toys to put on top of the cake.

SIL brought a sunshine pinata

I got hawaiian straws and goodie bags form orientaltrader.com. They have TONS of hawiian stuff.

We got leis and flower clips for their hair.

Plus I brought the Lilo ans Stitch sound track!!!

We had a blast!!

Okay, we are having a Lilo & Stitch Luau on Saturday and we have been very busy planning...I'll give away my secrets...

We bought all the luau stuff on http://www.orientaltradingcompany.com CHEAP and got Free Shipping. I also got a Lei making kit here for the girls to make.

We bought the plates & stuff at Party City (If you have one there). Party City carries them at 50% off retail as well. http://www.birthdayexpress.com also carries them but they are quite pricey so if you have a Party City where you are, go there.

As far as games..I bought bamboo at Michaels to do the Limbo, I made a poster board of Elvis Stitch and we are going to play Pin the Elvis wig on Stitch, I learned a short hula song that I will teach them, and I'm still pondering over another game. Thinking maybe musical chairs to an Elvis tune.

I made my own invitations & thank you notes because I didn't like the Lilo & Stitch ones available but Party City carries them. I asked everyone to wear their most tropical outfit for the party too to make it festive.

Have fun! We've had a blast planning this one and can't wait until Saturday!

We are going to a Lilo and Stitch party Saturday too--don't know what is planned, but one neat thing is that she has asked the kids to "dress tropical"! Maybe you could do that for your guests!
