We've always done Goofys Kitchen but I'm ready to try another breakfast. What specialty food are on the buffet? What I mean is, at Goofys I love the creme brulee french toast, the pb&j pizza and for some reason the bacon is so thick and wonderful. What foods other than the traditional breakfast fare do they offer? Are there desserts too?

What characters are there besides Lilo and Stitch?

Thanks!
Kelly

It's been almost 3 years since we did Lilo & Stitch, let's see what I can remember........

We saw Minnie, Daisy, Lilo, Stitch, and someone else....I can't remember if it was Goofy or Donald. And maybe that's it...wow, it's hard to remember that far back. LOL. I remember they had rice on the buffet and smoothies that you could put together, they had banana stuffed french toast...YUM!! But that's all I remember. I'm sure Molly (Bumbershoot) will remember more, I think they do this one pretty regularly....

I'm curious about this too, I love Goofy's but I've booked Lilo and Stitch for next week because I really want to see Stitch.

Does anyone know if they have the same cupcakes as they do at Goofy's? The ones with the different coloured icing... mmm they are my fav.

ummmmm. Salmon? Believe it or not--but it was pretty good (I'm not a breakfast person so really enjoyed this)

We haven't been there for b'fast since Sept '07, but yes RICE was the biggie. :) Sticky white rice in a rice cooker, VERY Hawaiian, VERY Asian. Made the hubster very happy.

I haven't heard much about them since, so maybe they were taken off the menu, but the big draw back then was pineapple scones.

I've been scrapbooking and reading through my trip report, and I wrote that the potatoes they had were just delicious.

I had breakfast there during the week last December; Lilo, Stitch, and Minnie (in a Hawaiian dress) were there. :)

The bacon was the same as at Goofy's, and they had yummy banana French toast, pineapple scones, and an assortment of fresh tropical fruit. For dessert there were mini gingerbread men; don't know if the rest of the year they have cupcakes, as that was my first time going to the L&S breafast.

It was much less crowded than Goofy's (though Goofy's is still my all-time favorite!), and the Hawaiian music and Elvis songs were fun!

:stitch2:

I went to L&S in Oct. I would compare the buffet more towards the variety level as the Storytellers breakfast. The buffet does not seem as big as Goofy's. I have heard good things about their bacon, but I have not tried it. I really liked their omelet station. As far as characters, we only saw L&S, Minnie, and Goofy. No Daisy then. We are going in a week and a half. I am still holding out hope for Daisy, but I am not holding my breath.

Salmon, I think DBF had some.....in fact I'm pretty sure he did because I remember the girls saying it was gross now. lol I had totally forgotten about that!

Thanks for the responses. Is there something special about the steamed white rice because um, white rice doesn't seem that exciting....:confused3

The hawaiian theme/music sounds fun.

put it in a bowl, add a little fruit, some sugar and some milk -- can we say yummy?

Thanks OP for this thread. We are really want to do the L&S breakfast in June. It will be our first character meal at DLR and I really want it to be special. We've been to Chef Mickey's at WDW, so that's why I was kind of ruling out Goofy's Kitchen. Seems like they are probably similar. L&S will be a whole new adventure.

It's just very traditional in Hawaii (and Asian cultures in general) to have rice available all the time. My MIL used to have her rice cooker on all the time...she was either making rice or keeping rice warm.

A roommate in college was Korean-American from Hawaii, and she had rice with just about EVERY meal. If she wasn't wrapping spam in nori, she was having it with rice (and often both). Rice is just a really important part of the culture, and it's really super-cool that they have it at the breakfast.

It's exciting when you're some kind of Asian!! DBF wasn't too thrilled with it either. But I thought it was the coolest. (He's obviously not Asian. I'm 1/4! :thumbsup2 )

Oooohh. Yummy. :upsidedow

We have steamed rice on Thanksgiving.

Spam in nori with rice = Spam Musubi = SUPER yum. Man they should have that at Lilo and Stitch breakfast! That's very Hawaiian and super delish. I would eat it all up! :p

They were there the last time I was there.

The pineapple scones were still there during our last visit to L&S in September, but they paled in comparison to the chocolate lava cakes that were absolutely heavenly!
