No, the car is very narrow, and the interiors way too nice to allow strollers. You'd park them at the base of the train station stairs. I should caution you that some small children may not enjoy this ride as much as their older siblings and parents, especially if they don't like being forced to sit still for 20 minutes in a stuffy box where they can't have any food or drink or make any noise. :)

SMD - yes, for some odd reason my mind erased the whole process of climbing the stairs to get to the station. haha

We are well aware that some experiences are not for DD. We wouldn't even consider taking her of we thought she would in any way disrupt the experience for anyone else (including us!). She may or may not come with us for that experience, but I want to learn what options are before we go. Thanks for the info :)

Bumping up a thread from the summer- Has the Lilly Belle car been running lately? We leave tomorrow for our first trip to Disneyland!

I did not see it running last week when I was there. It was really hot though...

I rode Lilly Belle September 10 - I didn't book, but got there at just the right time and was able to ride with an off-duty engineer who happened to be there and volunteered to take a group. I was there by myself, so it was probably easy to add me, but if you have more people it would be more difficult. It was really hot that day, and they specifically warned us before we boarded about the heat. It was a great opportunity, and our volunteer tour guide talked the whole way around telling us about all sorts of things about how the trains work, bits of history, the workday of the engineers, how he got his job, etc. He also made sure we all got a ticket afterwards, too.

He did say they don't have any more carpet for refurbishments, so when that wears out, Lilly Belle will be out for a complete overhaul, and will probably come back looking a bit different. In order to make it last as long as possible, they won't bring it out if there is any chance of rain, or anything that might cause damage or additional wear. If it's too hot, it will probably still be out, but not open for rides.

Thanks for the info! We'll keep our eyes out for it and see what happens.
