Potential strike forecast

The National Hurricane center is predicting that Lili will be a Cat 3 storm (winds 111 - 130 mph). I pray that all Disers prepare and keep safe.

Yep we are in the direct path again although I am on the line where Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi meet and probably won't get anything but alot of rain I'm praying for all of you along the coast! Good Luck!

Now I get back from class, and the chances of the eye hitting us are much higher.

Someone tell me again why I'm not leaving town right now? The idea of 110-130 mph winds scares me...

The really bad thing is, that all the ruble and debree from the last hurricane is still sitting out in the street. It's a disaster waiting to happen...

Hurricane Lili has just been upgraded to a Cat 5!!! 135 mph winds. Also, she may have winds of 140-145 mph at landfall tomorrow afternoon!
We had winds & rain from TS Hana & TS Isidore, we probably won't get too much from Lili.

Gaahh - my parents are staying with us as soon as my dad gets to leave his plant At Around Midnight Tonight!! They are making those people stay at that plant, and then evacuate. Grrrrrrr. My mom has had to pack up their things and secure all of their outside things by herself while my dad has had to stay at work.

CNN is reporting that it is now a Category 4 storm. I believe that was the same category as Andrew.

Yep, it's now a Category 4 hurricane, with nothing between Lili and landfall that will weaken it! The good news is the target areas, if it stays on the NHC trac, are relatively unpopulated counties on the LA Gulf Coast.

But for those that are in the path, or to the east side of the storm, PLEASE take all precautions as directed by Emergency management, and be safe!!! I'm saying my prayers!
