What genre is Lil Wayne? I mean, he's not rap.... Rap is more like Tupac and Dr. Dre, while hip-hop is more Soulja Boy [god he sucks] and Flobots. He doesn't really fit either that well.

Hip-Hop and Rap are the same thing, don't get why people refer to "poppy rap" as Hip-Hop because that's not even close. What I like to say is:

Rap minus Lies = Hip-Hop

I would classify Lil' Wayne as either Pop or, nothing....he's a martian.

Rap and Hip-Hop are pretty different. Rap is more lyrical while Hip-Hop relies heavily on the beat.

Well, obviously there are different styles of hip-hop. I mean, we all speak in English in America, but we have different lingo and accent sometimes. That's all the difference in the style of hip-hop from Soulja Boy to Flobots to Dead Prez is. Style is the only difference. Just because it doesn't sound exactly alike doesn't mean it's not hip-hop. Plus, that song you linked relies heavily on the beat, which is what I described hip-hop as.
