Something about this resort jogs in my head but I can't remember what it was, or where I saw it - This came up as an option for us to trade into for our trip.

Good?
Bad?
Indifferent?

Other ones were Celebrity Lake Buena Vista, Polynesian Isles, most of the Marriotts and Sherton Vistana.

We hated the Vistana when we stayed there in 02, so it's out. Loved the look of Horizons by Marriott, but there are no 2 bedrooms available for our dates. :-(

So family of 6, want a fun pool since we do enjoy our downtime, reasonable driving distance (under 20 min in real time to MK, not wacked out resort time that doesn't consider traffic), clean rooms, kitchen/ette.

Horizons by Marriott, and if you have kids, take it as soon as you can. It is an awesome family resort!!

Friends of ours own here and we stayed with them April '06. We had a 2 bdrm townhouse right near the basketball courts, across from the putt-putt area. The decor was typical, tropical on white FL stuff. The masterbedroom had a king with a very large bath but small closet space. Second bedroom was twin beds, tiny closet, no dresser. The upstairs balcony was nice. Full size, well stocked kitchen. Stacked washer and dryer, downstairs full bath and sleeper sofa. We were a little cramped with six, but not uncomfortable.

The main pool area was fun. Waterslides, fountains, basketball goal. Can be a little challenging finding lounge chairs. Lunch items at the bar area were good and could be charged to the unit, easy for our boys. We didn't do any resort activities, just hung out, so I don't know how their kid programs are. They had coffee/donuts every morning. It was a good hike for us, so we only did it a few times. They limit what they serve you, so one parent cannot bring back enough for the whole family.

Not too much interaction with staff, but they were friendly. We never had a problem.

We enjoyed it with teenagers and saw lots of families with little ones seeming to have a good time. We didn't go to Disney and I wasn't driving, so I can't comment on that. We did all our grocery shopping at a nearby Wal-Mart.

It isn't the most luxurious timeshare I have been in but nowhere near bad. I thought it was very nice and would stay there again.
