Liki Tiki Village- is it worth it?

As anyone ever tried this resort? Our family of 4 consists of DW, DH, DD 8, and DS (4)- kids ages by trip time. Because of the budget, our dreams of a DVC precruise villa then cruise is too expensive. We have another timeshare and am considering Liki Tiki Village because the slides, pools, playgrounds, rooms look soooo cool. I have a cousin and would like to hang out with our two families before we fly back home. Considering one or two nights. We will NOT do WDW parks but will probably visit DTD. TIA!
