Hello all,
Our family of 7 + 2 nieces will be traveling to Orlando next weekend for a 2 week stay. We are very excited, but are in awe of how much we have to spend.
We have made reservations at liki tiki since the kids are under the age of 12, and the water park looks wonderful. Can anyone give us and update on the resort? I have been reading some negative things on this board about it .
We booked a 2 bedroom/full kitchen for $136.00 a night. Is this average for a hotel with a full kitchen in Orlando? Since we are only staying at Tiki for 5 nights, does anyone know of another hotel with a full kitchen and waterpark for less?

Thank you!

may be hard to get a great deal for your trip, but you can do better than $136 a night

this one has availability 6/5 and is at $43+ 195+15. I am sure it will be higher when it closes, but that is for a week.

Summer bay- I think it has a water park?

hotel kingdom is a good choice too

As stated above, try hotelkingdom.com You can get a 3 Bedroom villa at Cypress Pointe for $84. But it says it sleeps 8. I am not sure if either of your nieces is under 3 and sleeps in a crib. Although you had a 2 bedroom booked before so it should be enough room. I am not sure if I would call their pool a "waterpark". But there is a volcano that "erupts" and some slides. Look at the pictures posted in a thread nearby.

If you can run fast from Liki Tiki. I agreee with the Cypress Pointe suggestion. I think there are rooms available since I recently checked. What I do know about CP is that it is very clean. My best friend stayed there and she is a fanatic.
What I know about Liki Tiki is it is very dirty. I stayed there and all I can say is yuk. I agree I would NEVER call it a water park so do not let that entice you. When you see the dirt in the lobby (I am hoping they dusted the display cases and got rid of the dead bugs by now) the "water park" will take on a whole new meaning for you.
For the amount you are paying I am sure you can get Cypress Point. In fact if need be you could take the three bed room at what I think is 86 per night if you could not get the two. It is still a savings and the kids could each get their own room OR sleep in different beds or just forget about it. You would be saving over 50 per night and you would not be scratching when you left.

Hello all,
Thank you so much for all the positive and negative comments. After we quit itching we took your advice, and cancelled as many days at Liki Tiki as we could without paying huge penalties. They still got us for a $30.00 fee to change our reservations, but from everything we are hearing about Cypress Pointe we should be pleased with all that it has to offer. We were able to get the 3 bedroom at CP for $84.33 + tax.

Thanks again!
