Liki Tiki question

We will be staying at the Liki Tiki in May. I am going to request a unit in the high rise...any idea which are the nicest? We would like to be close to the pool, as we have 2 kids under 6.

We having been staying here every year since 1996 and love it...The best building to get is bldg 8 or 9. Even bldg. 7 is good but don't get bldg 10 it is off in the back...have fun...any more question I would be glad to answer my email is sara1964@msn.com

hi, when you say building 8, 9, or maybe 7 are best.....are those the newer high-rise buildings with 2-bedroom units? also, why are they best? is it noisy being near the pool, or convenient, or both?

We stayed in the 900 building last July, ground floor. Our backyard was the waterpark entrance, Shipwreck Sally's side. We stayed in the townhouses the first night, and demanded to be moved to a newer unit. Our townhouse was rundoun and dirty. The highrise had a few maintanence issues, but was very comfortable. The buildings are numbered by age, townhouses are 23 years old, highrise 100 was first(unsure of age, about 10 years), then 200, 300, and so on. 700-900 are closest to the waterpark, but it's not a bad walk, from the others. The main entrance is between 800 and 900.

As for noise, we had no problems. The only thing I didn't like was the cats, and other critters, digging in the restaurant garbage after closing.

Good luck, have fun, and don't get stuck in a townhouse!

We're staying in August through my parents timeshare. I'm concerned that this might mean a townhome. Would anyone know for sure? Liki didn't have the resi yet as it was done through Interval, just recently.
