PC cruises are before and after Alaska, correct? We want to do a PC cruise 2017. Was just reading threads and suddenly worried is May 2017 out already? I don't think so but May 2017 shows up on the website, any thoughts/advice/experience with how PC cruises "show up" if you will? We do have a travel agent who knows generally what we are thinking of doing, but I have this nagging feeling I'm missing it or something. It doesn't matter to is much which we go, just will be trying to find one we can afford.

TIA!!

I believe only the Dream and Fantasy itineraries are out through May. The itineraries for the Magic & Wonder only go through April. Generally the Westbound PC is May, with the Eastbound having been in Sep/Oct timeframe.

Thanks! I figured it wasn't out yet but the website made me nervous. That makes sense!

A few things to consider. First off the cruise maybe at the end of April when the Wonder returns from her last three night cruise at Port Canaveral. Also there is word out there that the new canal may not be ready as a leak or something was found. Since the Wonder is going to Dry Dock for two months I think it's safe to say that this problem needs to be fix or the Wonder will not fit and that means DCL will not have ship that fits in the current canal. That being said, I hope the new canal is done as my wife and I have done every single one of DCL WBPC. The 2017 one was going to be special for us so I hope it is on.

Thanks aan! Any reason you enjoy the WBPC so much? We are really looking for longer and different cruises and we think this will be easier than doing a TA, cost wise and time wise. We are already gritting our teeth about now DCL cruises for us in 2016! Although if, say, the PC cruises didn't happen or something wild like that, I guess we'd try and do something next year, but we want to make it something special. Thanks for your thoughts!

Our only DCL cruise ever was the 2015 WBPC. It was an awesome experience as far as the canal itself was concerned and all of the extra sea days were awesome.

I like the WBPC because I live in Los Angeles. So even though DCL has given up on LA San Diego is a short 1:45 drive home. No dealing with airports or anything when we get off the ship. The second is the length and the third is all the sea days.

West bound you'd gain three hours when changing time zones. East bound you'd have three days that are 23 hours long.

I'm on the May repo Panama Canal cruise. The ports are weak ports. When I did it in 08 they had better ports, castaway cay,Aruba, alcapacoha that was a weak port but it was something new. Than they had Columbia like they have now the 2 Mexican ports like they have now. This one goes to Cozumel the one in 08 didn't but I consider Cozumel a weak port since I been there a lot. But I can go for 2 weeks on the repo Panama Canal cruise than on one week on the fantasy. So for me it's not about the ports it's about double the time for about the same price.
I know you were talking to someone else about why they love the Panama Canal so much but figured I will give my 2 cents.

We did the WBPC last May and it was our best vacation ever! Would love to do it again sometime. We found the price was reasonable for 2 weeks on a cruise. We loved the longer cruise because there were so many unique activities on board that they don't offer on shorter cruises - behind the scenes kitchen tour, various games (like finding the officers all over the ship who were in disguise!), party at the adult pool (with CM karaoke), sleepover for the kids in kids club and so much more! I would love to do it again some day.
