Hello boys and girls! While this is just my second post, I've been reading these boards and listening to the Dis Unplugged Podcasts for a couple years now but that doesn't exonerate me from making inevitable foolish mistakes. My apologies in advance.
Contrary to normal practice, we booked Coronado Springs in early June for 8 nights beginning 9/29 with free dining, to surprise our precious princess on her 7th birthday on 9/30. We're more of the type to book within a 30 day window to minimize the waiting anxiety but we found on our last 2 trips to the World, that it made planing difficult with ADR's and whatnot. But now with so much time, I may just mess it all up before I know it... Case in point: I moved our HDDR ADR from my daughter's birthday to another date and now I cannot get into anything I consider worthwhile (1900, Chef Mickey's or 'Ohana) on her special day. I also moved her BBB appointment from noon at MK to 8:40AM at DTD. See what I'm talkin' bout?
In the past, I've loathed making a day out of the travel days therefore, we're scheduled to arrive the evening before our resort reservation at CS and depart the day after our stay with the intent to stay at an airport hotel and move between the two via hired car. This will allow us full "shoulder" days in the parks and the ability to stop at a local grocery to pick up breakfast provisions and adult libations.
Here is what I have planned so far utilizing Touring Plans for most of it and some EasyWDW for the rest:
Friday 9/28 - Arrive at MCO 10:50PM direct from DIA via SW.
Tuesday 10/2 - MK with Breakfast ADR @ Crystal Palace 8:25AM
Wednesday 10/3 - DHS with Fantasmic Dinner Package @ MM 2:40PM
Thursday 10/4 - Epco with ADR @ Teppan Edo
Friday 10/5 - AK morning EMH until noon then rest at CS until heading to MK for MNSSHP
Saturday 10/6 - DHS with ADR @ 50's Prime Time 8:15PM.
Monday 10/8 - wake up late, take a few laps in the pool then leisurely head to MCO for 1:30PM direct return to DIA on SW.
As mentioned earlier, this will be our third trip. We're really looking forward to surprising our daughter and would love some ideas on that. Also, excited to go to MNSSHP but I'm conflicted about going Friday because of the expected crowds but think it would be too much to go on 9/30. Also excited for some new (to us) dining destinations and anxious that I'll miss some we liked in the past.
Please tell me it's good before I mess it up anymore or if it's already totally whack, tell me so that I can salvage it.
