I apologize for yet another stroller post. I've made one of my own stroller posts before and read lots of other posts too but I'm still struggling!

I currently have 2 double strollers and I don't want to bring either of them to Disney. I bought a cheapie double (I think it's called tandem, where one is in front and one is in the back). I walked my kids to the park in it just one time and determined I do NOT want to haul that thing around the parks for 4 days. I also have basically a side by side umbrella stroller. I brought the kids to the zoo in it today and honestly it was a lot of work. I am not out of shape either, I am very active and lift weights. But it seemed really heavy to push and my husband is super tall (and has a bad back) and the stroller is quite short so he can't push it to help me. It also doesn't have shade and doesn't recline.

So now I guess I'm trying to decide... spend more and buy a decent stroller, or rent one. I have 4 kids (and not having anymore) so I feel like I don't want to invest big money, but I could always buy used and sell it after Disney. And renting is an option.

WWYD? What double stroller did you bring to the parks that you just loved? In particular, any strollers that a taller person could more easily push?

I totally understand- I struggled with this, too! So much that I posted a poll, about what people prefer, and everyone was evenly divided between the options.... So it's a very individual decision.

I finally decided to bring two single strollers, they are "midrange" in price and great for taller people. (Summer infant 3D lite). And I got stroller connectors so we can make a double stroller out of them.
This will work best for us, because we are also going on a cruise and I know that my older one will not need a stroller there.

Our last two trips we used our own Peg Perego Aria double (side by side). Loved it - will miss it. But don't have it anymore. It was lightweight, easy to push and fit through any doorway I came across. Easy to fold for the bus too.

For our upcoming trip we rented the City Mini GT double (side by side) from Orlando. We won't need a stroller at the airport as we are flying out of a smaller hub this time. I find the park strollers expensive for the double. To rent through the outside agency it was $85 for the whole week and will be delivered to the hotel and includes a rain cover. The GT model has an adjustable bar for pushing - so i can adjust it to my 5ft1 ideal height and my DH can easily adjust it up to his 6ft1 ideal pushing height. I'm hoping it works for us! We go in 29 days....I can review it then for you!

We have used a City elite double (basically the big brother of the city mini) and also a macclaren double. For the macclaren I bought it used at a yard sale and sold it a week after we came back for what I paid for it.

I'd rent a city mini gt. They are so easy to push! We rented one in December and I loved it so much we bought one when we got back. It is easier to push and steer than myou regular city mini single. Itshe super easy to fold and not too heavy. The sun shades are huge and the seats fully recline. The only negative is the under basket is a bit of a pain to get to. Overall it's a great stroller, especially for the parks!

Rent the double city mini. Cheaper than buying a new one and easiest to handle in the parks. Also way more comfortable than umbrella type or WDW strollers with good sunshades. I think the GT version has an adjustable handle, but my 6'5" hubby was fine with the normal one last time.
