Laughing at the memory of Dylan dressing up in the Snow White costume... you must keep that around for ammunition when he's a a teenager!
And the girls are gorgeous!
Kathy
Hi Kathy - yup, I have several "blackmail" photos for Dylan... ready to whip out for girlfriends or weddings... hee hee hee. He'll *love* me.
I will tell you all this (please, please don't take this as a brag)....I had sent Cup-of-noodles thinking (as Wendy shared) there are men there with Jordy having a hard time affording lunch (as well as other things), I was thanked generously by Jordy because this gave him the chance to bless some of the other men by sharing what was sent.
It really blessed me to know how it was a blessing to others.
I tell y'all this in case your thinking about sending a box to Jordy. Please, if your able include some cup of noodles/canned soups etc. for the guys, I know it would be greatly appreciated. I wish I knew what other things were needed. Wendy, can you help us out? I know you mentioned they're in need, but we don't really know what's needed besides food.
This is true... we bought some things for the others to put in their boxes at
Walmart before we left (save on shipping, ha ha). Jordan usually has enough food in his box, but there are many who are really struggling with making ends meet each week. You can send food items as well, to share with the others if you like, or if it's easier, you can send some small gift cards as well as that will help them purchase food items at WalMart (where they do their grocery shopping) and it will be cheaper to send as well (rather than buying canned goods here and paying for shipping). However, I know many prefer to buy and ship, so you know what you're getting, or if you get some great deals on food items, you can still do that. I know they like the Hormel Compleats meals, or things like that...
I only say snacks are nice as well since many can only afford to buy "real" food, and very rarely can indulge on something extra (chips, nuts, snacks). However, for those REALLY in need (and there were at least 6-9 of them), the food I'm sure is appreciated as well.
If you wanted to send to those guys in particular, you can always send a little note along to Jordan indicating your wishes. Anyway - nothing is obligatory or required, you know... he just really appreciates your prayers for his healing.
Thanks for asking Millie
