So I haven’t been to WDW is 5 or 6 years. I am assuming I have to buy a multi pass lane every day for each park (doing all 4). It looks like I can book up to 3 attractions or 1 big attraction. Is this at each individual park or just 3 and I’m done?

How much are they. Disney doesn’t list them on their site

Thank you

The price of the lightning lane pass changes each day and is dependent on the park. If you have a hopper, the lightning lane works in the other parks after you complete a ride in your the park where you purchased it. You select three rides when you purchase and then can pick a new ride after you ride your first one. You can only use it for each ride once.

You can book 3 up front but only one can be from what is considered a tier 1 ride when purchasing multi pass. Not all rides are on multi pass and require an extra fee for the most popular rides and these are designated as Individual lightning lanes. You can buy 2 of those a day.

You can book another attraction after you have used one of your selections so you can do more than 3 in a day. Note that you can’t book an attraction twice for a lightning lane. If you want to ride an attraction twice one could be with Lightning Lane and the other by waiting in the standby line.

The cost will vary by the day and park you are visiting with AK being the cheapest and MK the most expensive.

If staying onsite you can buy the multi pass for your entire trip at 7 days out.

If you are staying offsite you can book 3 days out but you must do so for every day.

There are a lot of videos out there explaining how to use it. Go to UTube and put WDW Lightning Lanes explained in the search bar. I'm not sure if I can say the names of them here but you should be able to find them easy enough.

This exactly, lots of videos to explain how to book and use lightning lane. We are coming from canada so even with the exchange rate, which made LL very expensive, it was still really useful to cover most rides and parks we visited.

OP, perhaps you've already looked at the WDW website, but there is a lot of information there.

To add to what other posters have said, there are 3 types of LLs:

(1) Lightning Lane Multi Pass: Covers most rides except the headliners in each park. If you're staying on-site, you can book 3 LLMPs for each day of your entire stay 7 days before check-in. The 3 LLMPs you book in advance for each day all have to be at the same park.

Every park but DAK has tiered LLMPS. You can prebook only 1 tier 1 LLMP for each day you're purchasing LLMPs. But . . . after you have used your first LLMP of the day, regardless of its tier, you unlock the tiers and can book any tier of any ride in all 4 parks (assuming you have a hopper) after that.

You do not need to purchase LLMP again for another park if you do hop. You have already paid for the LLMP. But good luck getting top attractions at a park you hop to.

(2) Lightning Lane Single Pass: For the headliners in each park (e.g., FoP in DAK; RotR in DHS). This is a separate fee from the LLMPs but you can purchase them at the same time as you book your LLMPs. You can book only 2 of these per day and of course you need hopping on your ticket in order to book in more than one park.

(3) Lightning Lane Premier Pass: For LL access to every ride in a given park. The LLPP is good for one LL on each of the rides and you do not have to book any rides in advance. But, like the LLMP and LLSP, you can ride each ride only once with the LLPP.

I have no experience with the LLPP--out of my price range--but LLMPs and LLSPs can be booked only using the MDE app on your smartphone. You cannot book them using the WDW site on your computer or tablet. Booking starts at 7 a.m. Eastern Time 7 days in advance of your arrival at an on-site resort or 3 days in advance of your stay at an off-site resort.

You don't have to buy lightning lanes. Buying them is about spending more money to save time waiting in line. Many people don't buy them at all; others, like myself, buy them for some parks and rides but not others.

A recommended video is here:

However, that video is a little out of date. (Others you find may be more out of date.) There are currently no virtual queues at Disney World, and Soarin' has moved from Tier 1 to Tier 2. Some of the rides mentioned may be closed when your trip is.

Past and near-future (for the next 21 days) prices for lightning lane multi pass and single pass can be found here: https://www.thrill-data.com/lightning-lane-prices
