Lightning Lane SINGLE Pass Question

We are heading to the parks the beginning of September. Does anybody know if LLSP's are able to be modified. We only ask because it's our first trip without kids and we were hoping for a relaxing, fly by the seat of our pants trip. Our only priorities are some of the bigger rides, mainly Guardians. We were planning on waking up and then deciding on a park for the day. That strategy seems to be out the window now. We were going to make a rainy day a definite park day and maybe pivot and make a sunny day a pool/resort day. Now, having to plan a week ahead, I was hoping to be able to modify LLSP's that we will purchase ahead of time. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Any available timeslot during your resort/ticket stay, or on any available timeslot the same day?
Only for the same day you booked your LLSP and obviously only for the ride you selected. And you can only change the time slot subject to availability - up until the start of the arrival window.

Right now, availability for Single pass same day is just so minimal, I suggest you pick a definite day that you will go to Epcot and buy the Guardians LLSP if it’s a big priority otherwise you may not be able to ride it without getting a virtual slot. We have always been able to arrive later than our selected time anytime we have bought the ILL for Guardians…I expect the LLSP to be handled the same way. I think that’s the only LLSP that you can arrive late for…perhaps others know of others.

Remember even though Disney says you CAN change things on the day of your visit, there has to be availability to change to.

You can definitely modify LLSPs to different times and attractions.

Here's what the Disneyworld website says:

Modify Your Plans
Changed your plans… or your mind? You can modify your Lightning Lane selections via the My Disney Experience app.

To get started, tap the Lightning Lane Passes section on the app’s home screen to find your plans. Then, you can:

  • Change your selected park and/or date in advance (subject to availability)—up until the moment you redeem your first Lightning Lane selection of the day.
  • Change each selected experience and/or arrival window in advance (subject to availability)—up until the start of the arrival window
That's from a webpage dealing with both multi pass and single pass: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/lightning-lane-passes/#drawer-card-DrawerHowToPurchaseLL

See the Molly video at:

At 24:36 or thereabouts, she describes modifying LLSPs. At 25:16 is a screenshot listing the prices to change Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to Avatar, Tron, or Guardians that day. (I assume Rise was not then available.) As expected with Disney, you have to pay more to switch to the more expensive attraction, but don't get money back if you switch to a less expensive attraction.

Molly was only showing changes to another attraction on the same day, but I'm pretty sure you can also switch to another day.

Jennifer of Touring Plans says: "The workflow for modifying a Lightning Lane Single Pass is similar to modifying for a whole Multi Pass, shown above. But, there are a few things to note. First, you’ll only be able to modify if there is availability (Duh!). Second, like with changing your Multi Pass date or park, you’ll need to pay the difference if your new selection costs more. And, just like with Multi Pass, if your new selection is cheaper you do not get a refund." Source: https://touringplans.com/blog/how-t...disney-world-guide-faq-llmp-llsp/#single-pass

I think the "date and park" language means you can switch your single pass to another date, but that may just be my interpretation. I interpret the language from the Disneyworld website similarly.

Edit: Corrected which LLSPs were and were not available on Molly video.

Keep in mind Molly was there doing this video on Day 1 when there had been NO advance 7 or 3 day reservations. She even cautioned that her ability to change things may not be as easy once everything is in motion and she will do more videos to show more of the reality when advance planning is on play.
I’m not saying all this CAN’T be accomplished…just don’t count on it and then be disappointed when there may not be active availability that works for you.
It’s a great video to show details and I suggest you watch it along with the future ones she will produce.
