Hi Ladies! DF and I were so excited when we finally figured out our whole ceremony! We love every detail of it. When I was about to mail it to Rev. Jack Day, though, I realized the memorial candle lighting wasn't in it.
We want it as part of our ceremony but have no clue where it goes.
We don't know if there's a certain place for it...
I trying using the search here and googling it but I've only come up with short, generic things to say as we light it. Ex: "(Name) may not be physically here with us today, but they are looking down on us and are here in spirit to bless this union. (Bride and/or Groom) has lit a candle at the entrance in memory of (Name)."
Right now we have the following:
~Welcome
~Giving in Marriage
~Homily
~Exchange of Vows
~Ring Exchange
~Unity Candle
~Apache Prayer
~Presentation of Couple
Has anyone done this as part of their ceremony? If so, where should it go in the order of events? Thanks!!
