There is a 119 minute grace period after the Lightning Lane return window ends. Could this be what he is referring to?

If you have a multi pass with a return window of 2 pm to 3 pm, you can return anytime between 1:55 and 4:59.

They do, but I was told after our most recent visit that the LLMP purchase was the best discretionary spending on our entire vacation. Zooming past those long standby lines on almost every attraction is priceless.
