I've searched everywhere for a light weight travel purse with no luck. I'm looking for a large purse with lots of compartments and zippers, so nothing falls out if dropped. Also want a shoulder strap and neutral color. Most important, I'm looking for a very light weight purse, preferably something made of high-quality nylon. I want something light, but durable, and am willing to pay $50-$100 for a decent quality purse. Does anyone have any suggestions for a brand/store? Thanks!:)

Actually, I really mean 'purse'. Something I can shlep all the stuff needed for a family of four around in and not break my arms. I already have a backpack--but thanks for the suggestion.

I would go with a LeSportsac!! I love them, they are lightweight and very durable. They are machine washable too so if you do get something on it you can wash it. They come in all shape, sizes and a huge range of colors and patterns. They also have adjustable straps. They range from about $50 to $80. You can also check them out on-line @ www.lesportsac.com. Good Luck I don't think that you will be disappointed!!

Check out the Kipling products. I have several stlyes and love them all! Theyre made out of parachute material and are very durable. There are a lot of styles and come in all different colors. Our Tumi outlet carries some,www.kipling.com (can be a pain to get around in), and www.ebags carries a few styles as well. I have one that you might like-if its still available. Its actually a camera bag but it has 2 small pockets on the front (side by side), 2 more larger section pockets (one has another zippered pocket inside) and I believe theres a zippered pocket on the back too. It works great for a diaper bag and purse and its not big at all!

These are very lightweight nylon and come in a variety of shapes/sizes/colors. I bought a medium size black backpack and it was great on our trip to Europe. Very lightweight but strong. Thank goodness, because by the time I stuffed in the camera, guidebooks, umbrella....it was a teensy bit on the heavy side but still comfortable to carry and didn't tear.
Hmmm, gonna check out lesportssac now, their bags are also good.

I give another vote to LeSportsac. They have very good quality bags in a lot of diffrent patterns so if you're looking for something stylish you can go there.

I'm going to promote my Gwennie and say her line of purses are for sale there and they are tres cute.

I bought a healthy back bag on ebay before our trip. It is nylon so was very lightweight. I wanted something water resistant and it is. I am still using it here at home! Pockets for everything and it is soooo lightweight. Has nice shoulder strap. I LOVE it. Paid less than 30 bucks including shipping. so I was very happy. Try Ebay.

I bought a kipling bag, converted to backpack or fannypack. I loved it. I don't know what we would have done without it. Had everything from my camera to misc items. LOVED IT!!! Not very large but suited its purpose. Was not cheap though.

I prefer to carry as little as possible in the parks, but at home it's another story. I would give a second vote to the Healthy Back Bag.

Vera Bradley makes lots of wonderful bags also. They will cost you from $65-$100 depending on size. They are made of quilted fabric and they are machine washable. They also have lots of pockets inside for all your goodies. I take mine to the park every time we go. You must get the zip around wallet. I bought one for our trip to WDW this past January and loved it. It kept all the tickets, money, etc. safe and of course it matched my Vera bag! Hope it helps.

I second Ameribag's "Healthy Back Bag". It has lot of compartments and is very easy to carry. We use it exclusively for travel, but many people use it as an every day bag. I have a medium and it holds all I need. I got mine on eBay ;).

well i am just saying to bring a purse that fills confy for you yourself. At the front gates they will check ur bag.. So u do not want to many compartments.

I definately like my Eagle Creek purse. Lots of compartments and very light weight and durable. They come in a variety of sizes, my small one was about $20 Canadian and the bigger ones are probably $40 - 50 Canadian $$.
