I don't know what they are called exactly but I believe he means the lights that are the same wave length as sunlight and people wit seasonal affective disorder use to increase their "sunlight" in the winter. They are full spectrum lights. Just google seasonal affective disorder and the lights will come up. They are called blue something also.
They aren't cheap.

So back on topic - Before buying a light box, try buying 100 w equivalent Daylight Balanced CF's. They are much much cheaper and they do the trick for me.

I use light therapy all winter long. This is the one I use religiously from October until March. I bought mine at Costco a few years ago.
