Am I correct that they only do the "light show" once per rotation during a seven night cruise? If Animator's is your restaurant on the first night of the Western cruise, is the "light show" that evening or do they wait until the second time around in the rotation? (just plotting and planning all possibilities for when to try for Palo's ressies ;) )

it was the first night :) we had APLAPLA and loved it!

I had read, just before we left for our cruise, that the "show" at AP was not very good and very disappointing. So, I wasn't expecting much. While we were having our dinner, I was very disappointed and thought "didn't have to see this"... then, when there was only about 15 minutes left in the dinner rotation (and 1/3 of the people had already left) the big "show" started. Although I would still pick Palo over the AP show, it was very "special" and nice to see.
Try not to miss it, but don't panic if it is the only day you can get into Palo. Palo is not to miss. But, if you do go to AP, make sure you have a long dinner, or arrive slightly late, so that you aren't one of the first tables to be served.
Just my 2 cents!

 I can just hear me trying to convince two 12yo boys not to rush back to the Lab because "Nedleycan" said so. Thanks for the advice. Looking forward to seeing the whole show.

We were lucky (unlucky) to get late seating, so our children never ate with us. We fed them first, then they went to the club. So, we could enjoy a slow dinner. Maybe you could eat quickly with them, bring them back to the lab, then rush back for dessert and the show. Tell them "Nedleycan said they had to eat quickly and get back to the lab!!!!"

The light show will always be on your first night at AP.

The exception: If you have the LAPLAPL rotation on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary, your light show will be on Wednesday.

Okay, Dave, please fill in the blank. On the Eastern the lightshow will be on Wednesday because . . . . . ?

On the Eastern the lightshow will be on Wednesday because you will have the Master Chef's Menu when you're there on Sunday.
