Light Sabers from Parks

Hi all!

I thought I had all the info I needed from years of stalking the Dis, but my husband stumped me last night. We were planning on letting our kids make light sabers at Disney Springs a couple of days before we cruised, but my husband just pointed out that they seem to be restricted on the ship. Any suggestions on how to get them home to the Midwest? Will we just have to not make them? I appreciate your tips and/or suggestions!

The collapsible kids ones are allowed on board especially since they started doing Star Wars Days. The ones that are banned are the professional quality sparing sabers.

Oh fantastic! Our cruise does have a Star Wars Day. Are the light sabers made in Disney Springs the collapsible? I guess I could stop being lazy and go Google it...

Yep the ones you make are the standaed collapsible ones. They do sell the fixed saber style that are about 100+ so I'd steer the kiddos away from that.

I love my kids, but I don't know if I love them "$100+ light saber" much.
