light parade on water ?

I didnt know anything about this but after the hoop de doo we got the boat from Fort Wilderness to MK and saw lit up floats with dragons etc on, then on the last night we saw it again when we were getting the bus after the fireworks at MK

what is it and why dont they tell you about it, is it just for the people in the hotels near MK ?

We heard about it - through the Dis of course - before we went last year so made a point of trying to catch it. We saw it first from the jetty at Polynesian and enjoyed it.
I would guess that it is specifically for the guests of the resorts, based on the fact that its route is designed to take in all of the resort beaches, but anyone is allowed into the resorts so can get to see it.

You can see it from outside the MK - but you have to exit the park to see it. We have never gone to a resort to watch it, but you would get a better view if you did. We have only seen it on exiting the MK - completely unplanned.

I do agree that they don't do much about making it common knowledge. If you don't happen upon it by accident or find out through the internet you would never know it was even there. I find this strange considering they run it nightly throughout the year.,

We saw this from the window of the California Grille at the Contemporary. We were there for Wishes and caught this too.

Watch it from the beach at the Poly (+ Wishes of course!)

You can sometimes see it parked up in the day when riding the monorail between GF + MK.
