"Life on Mars" - Error?

I was watching "Live on Mars" over the weekend (via DVR). Did anyone else notice that when he was standing in the police station, through a window to the next room, you could see in the background a modern (flat screen or plasma) TV with a female newscaster wearing a light blue suit?

Was that intentional or a mistake?

Intentional. He was looking back into the future. In fact, his 2008 girlfriend was walking up to the door toward him just as the 1973 police woman tapped him on the shoulder and broke the "connection".

I like this show....at first I thought Harvey Keitel was a bit over the top, but I guess that's the way they were back then??? I was only 3 in 1973, so....I wouldn't know, but I do remember those clothes!!

Dh and I loved the original series on BBC America, and were wondering if they'd be able to capture the feel of it on the ABC version. I think they're doing a pretty good job!
