I was just wondering if anyone else loves Liberty Tree Tavern. Family style, great atmosphere and great food. Am I the only one that holds this opinion?
You're not the only one. My good friend and her DH and DD go every year and that is their favorite Character Meal. She loves the traditional thanksgiving fare and says it's the best character meal she's ever been too.
So do you share your table with other people, or can two of us eat alone at a table? just wondered because it's family style maybe they "force" us into having a family.
Yes I think you are right MyBoysMom. I think it must be "our" type of food. Are there any other restaurants that you think we'd like. I haven't been to Disney in 20 years and am trying to research as much as possible for our January trip.
Sinderella, DH and I ate at the LTT on Dec. 2nd, and we had a table all to ourselves. We enjoyed it very much. The food is very good (the dressing is excellent!) and the characters are a lot of fun.
Little anecdote... I was heartily embarrassed when I greeted Pluto as "Goofy". For some reason I had a hard time keeping them straight until DH pointed out that Pluto doesn't wear clothes (mistress of observation, that's me!). The rest of the trip we kept referring to him as "Nekkid Dawg".
We've been to both lunch and dinner here...and enjoyed both. We seem to always get the same waiter at dinner. His name is Russell and he actually remembered us! He's a very good waiter as well.
Actually we've always had wonderful service here...and the food is yummy. I kind of prefer the lunch menu, but dh likes the whole all you can eat concept. And the dinner food is very good. I'm just not a fan of pork roast. I much prefer the crab cake appetizer at lunch!
lknut01, we didn't do any other sitdown's when we were there last Christmas but we did eat lunch at the Pinocchio Village Haus. It reminded us so much of our beloved Memorial Union Rathskeller that we couldn't believe that we weren't going to walk outside and sit on the Terrace!
The food was counter service and we enjoyed it very much. Our boys split an order and so did my husband and I. Soo much food. We also enjoyed Pizza Planet at MGM. Standard pizza fare, but my littlest loves Buzz and Woody and the Toy Story movies so we had to eat there.
Last trip we had a PS there before Spectro but nobody (except me) wanted to do sit down, wanted to squeeze in more rides instead. I felt like we really missed out, so I squeezed in a character breakfast at BC to compensate. For upcoming trip I have a PS again prior to Spectro, hopefully everyone will co-operate this trip!
Now you all have me craving that great turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy!!!!
We think the food is some of the best on site. We also like the quite laid back feel. Even the characters are fun but not over the top wild. Our service was not great this past week, but we got what we needed and it was fine.
It is definately the best MK restaurant. We have dinner there on each trip and have never been disappointed. It's a place that both kids and adults can enjoy.
