Anyone been there lately? We have ADR's in 2 weeks & now I hear there are no characters! Is the food still the same?

From what I have read on Allears.net, the food seems to be the same. I did that meal also in Sept. '08 and LOVED it. I am so sad they did away with the characters!

The food is the same and the price is the same, so now you pay for a character meal, but get no characters. We stopped by in January and the place was empty. There was availability for lunch and dinner every day we were there.

AH no more characters at LTT NOT cool!! BUT-STILL worth it!!! The rolls there are the BEST on property - swear!! And that speaking, it's probably a good thing Chip and Dale aren't there anymore......they have been known to swipe a few rolls and put them in their aprons......

We went a few week ago, no characters but great food. The staff were lovely too! I have booked to go back again in May

When we are there in July with our kids and their families, they really were looking forward to the character dinner there. They were very disappointed to find out that they did away with the characters there. They always made it a lot of fun. We will all miss them.

We were there on February 12th. Foo is still the same/no characters.

My kids love the food at LTT so we'll keep going back!

We loved it. Did it this week Feb 24 and it was wonderful. Pot roast and main salad highly recommended. Pasta at Spoodles is better though.
Desserts great!

Are we all talking about the same Liberty Tree??????? Aside from the characters and staff the food was dreadful. It was TV dinners put on plates and bowls. There is a reason the is extensive availability for seating minus the characters.

We loved it...the food, the characters.Just read today about the change,VERY sad and disappointed.It was one of our favorites(somewhere in our top 5)Not sure we'll return without the characters,our little ones really enjoy the character meals.

I am also saddened about the characters no longer being there. This is one of our favorite restaurants and the kids just loved the character interaction. We will be going back since we love the food, especially the desssert!

I have a ADR for May 28. Food always looks good in the pics I have seen.

The dinner food is mediocre at best.Stouffers Mac n Cheese and turkey.The best part are the rolls and the butter. It is definitely a rip off to charge the same price minus the characters.The lunch menu is far better.I wish they would just have that all day.
