5:45 = no problem, that's before the party starts.

To the OP, I would check in before park close as others have said. And leaving the restaurant, be prepared to be hustled out of the park by CMs, so get your shopping in before you eat.

When we went to Pirates and Princess, I saw plenty of people enjoying the park without wristbands after 7pm. No one seemed to be "herding" them out. They couldn't go on rides, but I assume they enjoyed walking around, watching the parade and fireworks, the show at the Castle, etc.

No one will heard you right around 7pm, because Disney will give you time to exit the park and do a little quick shopping on the way out. But after a little while (and certainly by the time the OP would be done eating) the CMs will expect that the only people in the park are those with tickets to the event, so without a wristband the OP would be expected to leave and not dawdle in the shops. So shop (if shopping's in your plan) before you check in at LTT to be safe.

While at the party last year, there were CMs at Cosmic Rays and would not let you in to eat if you did not have a wristband on. I'm sure the OP will not be allowed to dine without the party admission/wristband.
