Help - I can't make up my mind!!! I know the two choices are so different, but we're either going to eat the buffet at LTT or go over to The Wave. We'll have our girls with us, ages 8, 6, and 3. I just can't seem to make up my mind. My husband thinks I am crazy at this point for planning so much.

I have a reservation right now for 6:40 at The Wave. We just want to make sure to make it back for the 9pm parade at MK. I think it's doable? As I understand, The Wave is quite close to MK,

There is also an opening (as of 5 minutes ago) at LTT for 6:35. I want to either keep The Wave or cancel it and take the LTT so I am not holding 2 reservations at the same time. Hoping for some thoughts. Thanks so much!!!

We've done both. Our family prefers The Wave by leaps and bounds!!! We were pleasantly surprised with our experience, too. In fact, we told the waitress that we were in a hurry to get back to the MK. She was great! We were in and out of there within an hour. We walked back over to the MK...not a bad walk at all!

You couldn't find two restaurants that are more different. LTT is family style service - ham, turkey and beef with standard sides - mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese. The Wave is Asian fusion.

My guess would be to choose whichever you think your family would enjoy more. Check out the menus and you'll get a better idea of what you have to choose from.

You would be able to walk back and forth between the two. Or, you could take the monorail to CM and walk back (the resort monorail goes the other way around). And, from Previous Post, the menus are different.

But, the question - do you really want to walk it? If you plan on doing the theme park all day, do you really want the extra walk. I prefer to eat at the theme park, take time, rest, and then find a good place to sit for the parade or fireworks.

vastly prefer The Wave (as in no contest, at all) LTT is served family-style (not a buffet at all) and the food is "thanksgiving dinner" sort of a meal, but like a hospital-cafeteria rendition. Very Stouffer frozen dinner. The Wave is cooked to order foods from a varied menu.

We do not walk it when leaving MK to go to The Wave--take the monorail. Nice relaxing ride, and when you come back to the park, the walk from the monorail to the entrance is downhill.

If you really want to stay in the park, I'd suggest the buffet at Crystal Palace over LTT any day (it really is a buffet, and a good one. We ate lunch there in January, and breakfast last year...both very good.)

Thanks so much! I think we'll stick with The Wave...and as someone suggested, just hop on the monorail. You're right - we probably won't want to walk over there after a whole day in the park. I just feel as if we won't want a Thanksgiving style dinner (I did know it was family-style, not sure why I wrote buffet!). I have heard some good things about The Wave so we'll check it out. Thanks so much for the input!!!

Correct that LTT is NOT a buffet but it is a "family style" restaurant at dinner which means "all you can eat".

I don't have to repeat what all of the other posters already mentioned. I wouldn't think twice about going to the Wave vs. LTT for dinner. Not a big lover of LTT dinner to begin with, Lunch yes, dinner, NOT! The Wave is one of our favorite dinner must-do restaurants in all of WDW. But as mentioned like night and day.

Yes it is very possible to make it back in time for the parade but you may feel a little stressed having to make it back then. If you plan to spend all day in the park and want to see the parade I would be the one to also say, take a break from the park, hop on the monorail or even the boat (the boat dock takes you right into the doors by the Wave.

I would be the one to walk back instead, LOL, to the MK but that's up to you. It shouldn't take more than 15 min. to get back to the MK via the monorail. Two hrs should be MORE than enough time with 1 1/2 hrs being average, just depends on how busy it is and if you have to wait for a table past your ADR time.

...and your dh may think you're crazy for so much planning, but once you're there you'll BOTH be happy you did the planning because you could be waiting a long time otherwise...;)

LTT is served family-style (not a buffet at all) ... Very Stouffer frozen dinner.

The only thing even close to Stouffer's at LTT is the Mac-n-cheeze, and to my mind, Stouffer's Mac-n-cheeze (the way I warm it up) is actually better.

Everything else was excellent, and there's no way that tasty, moist, tender flank steak came out of a frozen box!

I would stick with The Wave! We really enjoyed our meal there. Our reservation was 5:10 and I know we made it to MK before 7 (for the xmas party) using the monorail so you should have no problem for the parade.

I'll agree with your comments. LTT has very good food.
