DH and I - no kids. Should we go to Liberty Tree Tavern or The Plaza for lunch and why? We have never been to either. I am switching some things around on our schedule and I have to cut Yak & Yeti - and I am replacing with one of these.

TIA! :goodvibes

Unless anyone has a better option for a MK or monorail resort TS?

The Plaza is just sandwiches. Liberty Tree has sandwiches and a few other options for lunch. Both are good, not great. The Plaza is smaller and we have had to wait past our ADR quite a bit in the past to get in, LTT has more seating and seems to seat faster in our experience, but I'm sure others can say the opposite depending on time of day and time of year. Look at the menus and pick whichever one sounds best.

PLAZA! A must do on all our trips! Unless, you want to hop on the monorail and go to Kona Cafe for a wonderful lunch. Have a great trip!:)

Liberty Tree Tavern has a bit more variety on its menu and a fabulous roast beef sandwich with horseradish that I have been craving for months!! And great dessert - Ooey Gooey toffee cake. Yum!!

The plaza has good burgers, sandwiches and salads - more standard fare. But ice cream sundaes for dessert!

Both are good lunch stops - but I think it has always seemed to take a little longer at the Plaza.

If you have the time, hop on the monorail and go to Kona's at the Polynesian. The food is so much better than either LTT's or the Plaza's. :thumbsup2

They are both excellent! If I wanted a regular lunch I would go to the Plaza, for a heavier meal (and if I was planning on eating a light or nothing for dinner) I would pick LTT

LTT for sure! Pot roast dinner for me and turkey dinners for the rest of my family. Yum :thumbsup2

We love hopping on the monorail and going over to the Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona Cafe for lunch. It's a nice change of pace and the food, atmosphere and service in both of these restaurants is very nice. The GF Cafe makes a great Cobb Salad that is perfect for lunch.

P.S. I just realized that you'll be there for the holidays. In that case I'd definitely take the trip to see the Grand Floridian and have lunch there. It's beautiful at Christmas time.

We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern and the food was very good. My husband wants to eat there again. We did eat there for dinner, but I'm sure lunch is as good.

Of the two we prefer the Plaza for lunch. It isn't anything fancy, just sandwiches and ice cream, but everything was good and it is very much "lunch" type food. We really enjoyed the food at Liberty Tree, particularly the pot roast, but it was far too heavy/filling for lunch. It would make a great dinner and I'm disappointed that they haven't brought the menu to dinner since they took away the characters, but it was just too much for a midday, mid-park-touring meal.

Wow - no clear winner here! ;)

I am really leaning towards LTT. I am thinking of doing a Lupper there.

So - it will probably be our only "meal" of the day and we will just snack around as we are hungry. I would like to get the latest lunch ressie possible.....

How late do they serve lunch?
