I need (okay, want!) another character meal (dinner) for our trip. We have been to LTT several times before and have always enjoyed it, but GG would actually fit in better with our touring plans. How does GG compare to LTT, in terms of interaction with the characters, food quality, and also atmosphere? We are going the week before Christmas so we expect it to be crowded. Are we likely to be more rushed at one place or another? Any advice is appreciated!

We love Garden Grille!!! I didn't care for LTT so this would be an easy choice for me. I do not eat turkey or catfish anywhere but Garden Grille. Food was great each time we've gone and the character interaction was great...one of the best we had.

I would vote for Garden Grill here. A great place to dine. The food is really good and if you ask me way better than LTT. I think the characters are pretty good here and they will spend plenty of time with you. LTT character interaction is pretty good as well though. The moving room is something we enjoy even if you can't feel it.

I loved the Garden Grill last year! :cloud9:

I am a vegetarian and the chef came to my table and asked me what I would like and made me a special plate:banana:

I am going back Sept. 17 I am also trying LLT for the fist time this trip :)

I haven't eaten at LTT, but we ate at Garden Grill last month. I thought the children's menu food was good, but really disliked the adult food. However, the characters came to our table at least 4 times, and interacted with my kids incredibly. The atmosphere was very nice, and service was great. Even though I hated the food, I would go back again for the entertainment!

Hey I will be there the week before Christmas too 15-21 and we are eating at the Garden Grill we are doing lunch because we have so much going on that night but I am pretty excited about it. We did LTT in Feb. and liked it but just wanted to try something else this time.

Of the four character meals we did on our previous trip, Garden Grill and LTT had the best character interaction, Garden Grill was better because it's a smaller restaurant, the characters can really spend time with you, it's a quiet and pleasant atmosphere and the slow change of scenery as the restaurant rotates fascinated my son. The food was incredibly fresh and yummy and they offered refills on anything we wanted. Nothing rushed, loud or frantic about this character meal!

If you enjoyed the LTT you will enjoy GG! Great character interaction and good food! We had a group of 10 there last year and everyone found the food to be very good!:thumbsup2

I haven't done LTT for the character meal but I will be there for a late lunch in about 30 days. I have done Garden Grill twice and loved it both times. The food is really good and the interaction with the characters is some of the best that I have had at any of our meals. The desserts are great. Save room, if that is possible.

Another vote for GG. We like LTT for lunch, we think the food choices are better (than dinner at LTT), but no characters. We enjoy the atmosphere and the food at GG, the characters always take quite a bit of time with you.

If GG fits in better, go there. The food is excellent. The character interaction, IMO, is not as good as LTT, but Mickey shows up (in his farmer clothes) to say hello and Mickey is always a plus. :)

I don't think you feel more rushed at either, but the Garden Grill is the more relaxing of the two meals, IMO. Atmosphere - you go past four scenes from living with the land and you see the stuff they show there. For the rainforest, you see a bunch of leafy things and hear rainforest noises. Then comes the desert - you see sand thingies and get a glimpse of the lower part of the ride. Then you get farm lands and the farm house...this is where you can just look on down to the stuff the people see when riding - and you can get a glimpse inside the bedroom of the farmhouse. :) It is very different than LTT, but it is wonderful in its own way. :thumbsup2

If you can get yourself seated on the outer ring of Garden Grill, do that. Better "view".

Garden Grill hands down. It's quieter and the change of scenery is great. And the food was awesome! LTT character interaction was great, but the food was so-so and the atmosphere seemed louder and more chaotic.

I love both restaurants. I think both of them are two totally different dining experiences though. Garden Grill is more earthy and fresh. The food is great and the character interaction is awesome. Mickey is here as well as Chip and Dale and Pluto.
With LTT, the food is more homestlye and the atmosphere is darker and colonial. The character interaction is awesome here too. Usually they have Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale and Pluto.
I would say you can't go wrong with either and if Garden Grill suits you needs, then go for it! Have a great time! :thumbsup2

That's great!!! Hope to see you I think we are doing the party Tuesday night what about you?

GG is the least frenetic of all the character meals, IMO, with great character interaction and wonderful comfort food. I haven't figured out yet how to break it to my boys we're NOT going to GG this trip because its their favorite.

We LOVED the LTT and have eaten there over and over again. In fact, we were stoked last time when there was a cancellation and we could get in again. Great home cooked food. We are going again in Sept! I would do over and over again....:thumbsup2
